Every bird is housed individually in its own clean, spacious enclosure. The only exception is bonded birds, kept together because you asked. We hold that separation strictly, because mixing households is how disease moves between birds.
Eating habits, droppings, weight, activity level, and behavioural changes are tracked around the clock, so a problem is caught while it is still small. Birds hide illness until it is advanced, which is exactly why this is not a once-a-day glance.
We maintain an established working relationship with a qualified avian veterinarian before anything goes wrong — not a number we search for in an emergency. With your permission we can arrange care quickly.
Reduced appetite, unusual droppings, lethargy, a behavioural change — you are contacted right away, not at pickup. You stay informed and involved in the decision, wherever you happen to be.
Only bird-safe cleaning products are used. No non-stick cookware, no air fresheners, no scented candles, none of the ordinary household things that quietly kill birds. The space is climate-controlled with proper ventilation and no drafts.
Food intake, activity, mood, and any observation worth recording go into a comprehensive written log that is maintained through the stay and handed to you at pickup.
